How is a tier actually earned?
By a qualifying metric over a window, most often weighted turnover or theoretical loss rather than deposits or hours. Find the metric and the window in the terms, because that pair decides everything about the tier.
Are points worth collecting?
Only as a discount on play you would make anyway, and only after reading the conversion rate, the expiry and any wagering condition on the redemption. The headline earn rate is not the value.
Is cashback better than rakeback?
It depends on how you play. Rakeback pays a steady fraction of turnover whether you win or lose; cashback pays a larger fraction of losses, only after a losing period. Neither changes the edge.
Are comps really free?
No. Comps are funded from the edge your play generates and are sized against your expected contribution. They are a partial return, granted at the operator’s discretion, not a gift.
Should I chase a higher tier?
No. The extra play to reach a tier costs expected value by design, and the tier returns a minority of that cost. Fix your stake first and take the rewards second.
What does a VIP host do for me?
They can speed up friction — withdrawals, support, operational limits — and grant comps. They cannot change the terms, the game maths or the outcome, and they are paid by the operator.
Is a status match worth taking?
As an operational introduction, sometimes. As a reason to move play and hit a trial target, rarely: the value of the matched tier is a fraction of the play the trial requires.
Can a tier be lost?
Usually yes. Most ladders are re-earned or maintained each window, so a status can lapse when the window resets. That reset is worth reading in advance.

Remember that a loyalty programme is a discount on a decision you have already made, and never a reason to make it. A tier cannot improve a game, a host cannot change the maths, and the rewards are funded by the same edge that funds the operator. Earned as a discount, the card is sensible; played for as a goal, it is a cost.
